Tagging of the first Imperial Eagle for the LIFE EUROKITE Project

Yesterday, 4 Imperial Eagles in 3 nests were tagged together within the LIFE EUROKITE projects with our Czech partners. The data from these birds will be shared with the LIFE PannonEagle and the LIFE Great Bustard project in order to achieve optimal cooperation in European bird protection. With these projects we are negotiating cooperation agreements so that we can coordinate our actions. For example, one of the young birds that we tagged today has two sent parents, each of which part of the partner projects. The cooperation allows us to track the life of several generations and to research mortality reasons.
