The first birds in Zistersdorf and Mahndorf are on their way!

From the nests in Zistersdorf and Mahndorf where we tagged young Red Kites on June 16^th and 17^th for the LIFE EUROKITE project, the first birds have left the parental areas. Thanks to the GPS loggers, we can now follow all their movements.

The young bird from Zistersdorf (“Zistersdorf_03”) left the parental area on July 24^th and now sends a data point every 5 minutes. More information and the movements of the Zistersdorf family can be found here.
